INTRODUCTION
Cryogenic fluids such as liquid nitrogen are widely used throughout all Industry in Australia for various tasks. The nature of cryogenic liquids, presents a significant risk to the health and safety of persons who may be exposed to them.
This guideline provides an introduction to information on methods to minimize the likelihood of injuries and illnesses occurring from the use and storage of liquid nitrogen. This guideline has been developed to meet selected criteria of AS1894-1997: The Storage and Handling of non-flammable cryogenic and refrigerated liquids.
