PIPE FREEZING SERVICE
FreezeRight based in perth & providing services throughout Australia, has a pipe freezing service which entails fitting a jacket around the pipe to be frozen which we fill with liquid nitrogen which boils at minus 196°C. This freezes and forms an ice plug within the pipe capable of holding back extreme pressures. Allowing the pipe to be drained and repaired, modified, valves replaced, whatever the case may be. Then we defrost the ice plug and the system returns back to normal operation.
In using pipe freezing there is less down time the system will be out of service thus saving time, expensive chemicals, water and in most cases once the ice plug has a hold the remaining system can be put back on line whilst the repair is taking place downstream.
Our preferred contractor for plumbing, welding & repairs is Mechanical & Gas Services. We have worked with them on numerous pipe freezing projects and they are certified, very experienced and come highly recommended. However we are happy to work with any contractor you should choose provided they follow our strict & vital safety guidelines.

10mm to 300mm are the common sizes we freeze but larger sizes can be organised.
